Description So, you have a TEKS-aligned curriculum with units, but how does the teaching translate from the unit document to instruction in the classroom? Where do you start? On the first day of this two-day institute, participants will learn the step-by-step process for deciphering the learning goals from a TEKS-aligned unit, and they will learn how to pace the student expectations from the TEKS + communication on an instructional calendar. On the second day, participants will experience and analyze the success criteria in a TEKS-aligned lesson, and they will work in groups to create TEKS-aligned lessons that fit within the first unit of the school year. Participants are highly encouraged to attend with their district teams. Learning is better when we are together!  |

We are so thankful for your interest in this TFLA event! Because of costs associated with preparation for an event, TFLA is unable to process refunds within 30 days of the start of an event. In some cases, registration may be transferred to another individual. If there are extenuating circumstances that you feel we should consider, please email Kim Malcolm at executivedirector@tfla.org
For those who have registered but not fully paid, failure to cancel registration before the 30 days prior to an event serves as your commitment to pay. Failure to pay a registration fee within 30-days of an event, even if you do not attend, is considered a "late cancellation", and your account will have an outstanding bill. You may be blocked from registering for another event until that outstanding bill has been paid.
